The story in short

Sinocoelurus was formally named in 1942 by C. C. Young. The name means “chinese hollow tail.”

It lived in the Late Jurassic, within an age that is only broadly constrained. Finds come from China. It was a carnivore and walked on two legs.

The fossils of Sinocoelurus are too incomplete for a responsible length, hip height, or weight, so those fields are left blank on purpose.

On the family tree it sits in Tetanurae, among the theropod dinosaurs.
