In 2017, F. Torcida Fernández-Baldor and colleagues published the name Europatitan. The name means “european giant.”
Fossils referred to Europatitan date to the Early Cretaceous (Barremian · Aptian), roughly 125.8 to 113.2 million years ago. Finds come from Spain, including the Castrillo de la Reina Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Europatitan at a length near 20–21.4 m, hips about 4.4 m high, and a body mass around 22–25 tonnes.
