The story in short
The genus Arstanosaurus dates to 1982, the year P. V. Shilin and Y. V. Suslov described it. The name means “arstan lizard.”
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Santonian · Campanian), roughly 85.7 to 72.2 million years ago. Finds come from Kazakhstan, including the Bostobe Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on two legs.
The fossils of Arstanosaurus are too incomplete for a responsible length, hip height, or weight, so those fields are left blank on purpose.
On the family tree it sits in Hadrosauridae, among the ornithopod dinosaurs.
