In 2012, M. J. Ryan and colleagues published the name Xenoceratops. The name means “horned face.”
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Campanian), roughly 83.6 to 72.2 million years ago. Finds come from Canada, including the Foremost Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Xenoceratops at a length near 4.4 m, hips about 1.5 m high, and a body mass around 1 tonnes.
