Rebbachisaurus was formally named in 1954 by R. Lavocat. The name means “aït Rebbach lizard.”
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian), roughly 100.5 to 93.9 million years ago. Finds come from Morocco, including the Gara Sbaa Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Rebbachisaurus at a length near 14 m, hips about 6.2 m high, and a body mass around 7–12 tonnes.
