The story in short

In 1992, L. A. Nessov published the name Kuszholia. The name means “milky Way bird.”

Fossils referred to Kuszholia date to the Late Cretaceous (Turonian), roughly 93.9 to 89.8 million years ago. Finds come from Uzbekistan, including the Bissekty Formation. It was a carnivore and walked on two legs.

The fossils of Kuszholia are too incomplete for a responsible length, hip height, or weight, so those fields are left blank on purpose.

On the family tree it sits in Avialae, among the theropod dinosaurs.
