In 2014, P. Godefroit and colleagues published the name Kulindadromeus. The name means “kulinda runner.”

It lived in the Middle Jurassic (Bathonian), roughly 168.2 to 165.3 million years ago. Finds come from Russia, including the Ukureyskaya Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on two legs.

Published estimates put Kulindadromeus at a length near 1–1.5 m, hips about 0.3 m high, and a body mass around 2 kg.

On the family tree it sits in Neornithischia, among the bird-hipped dinosaurs.
