The genus Fukuivenator dates to 2016, the year Y. Azuma and colleagues described it.
It lived in the Early Cretaceous (Aptian), roughly 121.4 to 113.2 million years ago. Finds come from Japan, including the Kitadani Formation. It was a carnivore and walked on two legs.
Published estimates put Fukuivenator at a length near 2.5 m, hips about 0.5 m high, and a body mass around 25 kg.
