Australotitan was formally named in 2021 by S. A. Hocknull and colleagues.
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian · Turonian), roughly 100.5 to 89.8 million years ago. Finds come from Australia, including the Winton Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Australotitan at a length near 24 m, hips about 4 m high, and a body mass around 35 tonnes.
