The genus Zhuchengceratops dates to 2010, the year X. Xu and colleagues described it. The name means “horned face.”
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Campanian), roughly 83.6 to 72.2 million years ago. Finds come from China, including the Hongtuya Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Zhuchengceratops at a length near 2.5 m and a body mass around 175 kg.
