In 2025, M. Kellermann and colleagues published the name Tameryraptor. The name means “thief from the beloved land.”
Fossils referred to Tameryraptor date to the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian), roughly 100.5 to 93.9 million years ago. Finds come from Egypt, including the Bahariya Formation. It was a carnivore and walked on two legs.
Published estimates put Tameryraptor at a length near 8–9 m.
