The genus Paludititan dates to 2010, the year Z. Csiki and colleagues described it. The name means “marsh titan.”
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian), roughly 72.2 to 66 million years ago. Finds come from Romania, including the Sânpetru Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Paludititan at a length near 6 m, hips about 1.7 m high, and a body mass around 1 tonnes.
