The story in short
The genus Mesetasaurus dates to 2026, the year M. Soto Núñez and colleagues described it.
Fossils referred to Mesetasaurus date to the Late Cretaceous (Coniacian–Maastrichtian), roughly 89.8 to 66 million years ago. Finds come from UY, including the Guichón Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
The fossils of Mesetasaurus are too incomplete for a responsible length, hip height, or weight, so those fields are left blank on purpose.
On the family tree it sits in Aeolosaurini, among the sauropod dinosaurs.
