In 2016, C. Fuentes Vidarte and colleagues published the name Magnamanus. The name means “large hand.”

Fossils referred to Magnamanus date to the Early Cretaceous (Hauterivian · Barremian), roughly 132.6 to 121.4 million years ago. Finds come from Spain, including the Golmayo Formation. It was a herbivore and could move on two or four legs.

Published estimates put Magnamanus at a length near 9–10 m and a body mass around 3 tonnes.

On the family tree it sits in Styracosterna, among the ornithopod dinosaurs.
