In 2011, P. J. Makovicky and colleagues published the name Haya.
It lived in the Late Cretaceous (Santonian · Campanian), roughly 85.7 to 72.2 million years ago. Finds come from Mongolia, including the Javkhlant Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on two legs.
Published estimates put Haya at a length near 1.6 m, hips about 0.5 m high, and a body mass around 12 kg.
On the family tree it sits in Thescelosaurinae, among the bird-hipped dinosaurs.
