Adratiklit was formally named in 2020 by S. C. R. Maidment and colleagues. The name means “mountain lizard.”
It lived in the Middle Jurassic (Bathonian · Callovian), roughly 168.2 to 161.5 million years ago. Finds come from Morocco, including the El Mers III Formation. It was a herbivore and walked on four legs.
Published estimates put Adratiklit at a length near 7 m, hips about 1.7 m high, and a body mass around 4 tonnes.
